If you are interested in applying for admission at a local private or parochial school, be prepared!   Many of the local schools get a large number of applicants, so they do rely on standardized tests such as the ISEE, SSAT, COOP and HSPT to help them make their admission decisions.  We are experts at helping students prepare for these exams and maximize their scores.

People often call and ask us, “How many sessions do I need before I will be ready for the exam?” The answer to that question varies for each student. We will respond with the following questions for you:

• What type of student are you and do you find school challenging? Tell us about your most recent report card. Are you stronger in verbal versus math, or equal in both?
• Have you ever taken a standardized test before? If so, do you feel like your score was an accurate reflection of your ability?
• What are your goals? What type of private or independent school are you interested in applying to?
• What type of commitment are you willing to make? For the students who have worked hard in our classes and individual instruction, phenomenal results have been their reward. Are you willing to make that sacrifice also?

After listening to your answers, we can make a determination about how much preparation you need and whether you should take the class or opt for individualized tutoring.
